Protagonists are the heart and soul of a book. Be it any specific genre in fiction, its important to craft characters who are worthy of becoming the lead of a story. Out of all the five books I have written so far, my favorite protagonist is Robin Spencer, The Timekeeper from the book titled- ‘The Timekeeper and the 25th Hour’
I have tried creating interesting and unique characters in my books but there are reasons why Robin Spencer stands out from the rest for me. The Timekeeper, has special abilities of transforming into a human being and also possesses special powers. He is a universally venerated character and excessively famous in the World of Time. But his virtues or characteristics are beyond his fame and powers. As a Timekeeper, his responsibilities towards guiding people through the right path, are definitely justified by him in every crisis. He, also has a special knack for solving problems and making right decisions in different situations.
People sometimes perceive him as a stern and austere personality, but his best friends- Avni, Rohan and Tara know his flaws and weaknesses. In crunch situations, when he is facing dangerous problems and menacing people, he also becomes emotional and susceptible to self-doubt. Albeit, he has friends who have his back and that’s why he is a strong believer of lifelong friendships and unity. He definitely resembles a timepiece in his Timekeeper manifestation, but he has a human heart, reflecting all the emotions and feelings a human mind owns.
